It is our pleasure to introduce to our customers limited colection of berets from yak wool. With their unique material quality and ecological dimension, these berets will not only heat you up on your body but also on your soul.

Yak is a long haired bovine which can be found in the Himalayan region, the Tibet, Mongolia and Central Asia. There are also families of nomads who live by combing or collecting hair of Yak, which Yak naturally sheds during late spring/early summer period. Each yak produces only 100 grammes of precious undercoat of strong, delicate fibre which keeps them warm during the winter season. Yaks from Khangaï Mountains in Mongolia live at high altitude, above 2,000 metres, and have to withstand harsh temperatures (-40 degrees Celsius) during the winter months, which explain why their fibres have outstanding thermal-regulating properties .
